What is F3?

F3 is a national network of free, peer-led outdoor workouts for men. In Mansfield, Arlington, Cedar Hill, and Midlothian, Texas, F3 Manlington runs workout groups called Areas of Operation (AOs). We plant, grow, and serve these groups to invigorate male community leadership — through fitness, fellowship, and faith.

Watch the national primer or listen to the podcast before your first post.

What to Bring

An open mind and a positive attitude. Wear regular outdoor workout clothes and athletic shoes. Unless you have farmer hands, consider bringing gloves. Bring water in hot weather. No gym bag, membership card, or equipment purchase required.

We welcome men of all fitness levels and physical abilities. There is no membership other than showing up at the appointed time and place and following the Q. You will be welcomed with honor.

Read the F3 disclaimer before your first post. Tell the Q about any injuries or limitations before we start. Read the F3 disclaimer (opens in new tab).

Your First 3 Steps

  1. Show Up

Pick a workout on our Schedules page, arrive a few minutes early, and tell the group you are an FNG (Friendly New Guy). Every man here was new once.

  2. Modify Freely

The Q (workout leader) explains the beatdown. Go at your pace — scale exercises as needed. All fitness levels are welcome.

  3. Circle Up

Stay for the Circle of Trust (COT) at the end: names, announcements, and fellowship. That is where the brotherhood deepens.

Common Questions, Answered

How do I find a workout?

Browse our workout locations in Mansfield, Arlington, Cedar Hill, and Midlothian, check the Schedules page for times, or use the F3 Nation map for directions.

What do I need for my first workout?

Read the F3 disclaimer, pick a place to post, and show up. Introduce yourself as an FNG — you will be welcomed with honor.

Is it really free?

Yes. 100%. No catch. Never a charge to work out — ever.

What are the guidelines for leading a workout?

Workouts must follow the five core principles to be an F3 workout. Beyond that, Qs have a lot of freedom — ask the Site Q or a regular Q at your AO when you are ready to lead.

Is this a cult?

Nope — but that is among the top excuses men make before committing to better themselves. Show up once and decide for yourself.

What's up with the exercise names and lingo?

F3 has its own vocabulary. The Lexicon decodes the terms; the Exicon catalogs the exercises.
